Mixing & Mastering Services

Explore the services I offer for folk, indie and acoustic artists. From warm, natural mixes to release-ready mastering, my work focuses on clarity, balance and preserving the emotion of your performance. Whether you’re crafting an intimate singer-songwriter track or a full acoustic arrangement, these services are designed to help your music sound clear, honest and ready for release.

If you’re recording in Brighton, I can also support sessions as a studio assistant — helping with setup, organisation and keeping sessions running smoothly.

Mixing Desk
Mixing

When the recording hasn't caught up with the performance.

I start every session the same way: by listening. Not for problems — for what the track already is. What's the emotional core? What's close to right? What's fragile? The mixing that follows is built around those answers, not around a default approach.

I tend to work by subtraction — creating space, restoring clarity, letting the performance carry the weight. If a decision doesn't serve what you're trying to say, it doesn't stay.

Key Benefits

  • Vocals that sit naturally and feel intimate

  • Warm, balanced acoustic tone

  • Clear low end without harshness

  • Mixes shaped around the emotion of the song

  • Collaborative, artist-friendly approach

Mastering

The final step before release.

Good mastering protects what's already there. It brings cohesion and clarity without taking away the character of the mix — the dynamics, the warmth, the sense of a real performance in a real space.

I approach mastering the same way I approach mixing; by understanding what the track is before deciding what it needs.

Key Benefits

  • Consistent, polished sound across platforms

  • Enhanced clarity without losing character

  • Controlled loudness that preserves dynamics

  • Cohesive tone for acoustic-driven music

  • Your music sounds like itself, on everything
